With the new season only a day away the EFL have provided guidance on what supporters should expect from match officials during the 2024/25 campaign. This is a summary of the changes:
- Denial of an obvious goal-scoring opportunity
- Penalty kick process – encroachment
- Approach to dissent on the pitch
- The amount of time the ball is in-play
- The amount of time before an injured play can return to the field of play
- Clarification of the handball and holding offences
