Our Club, Our Future

Our Club Our FutureOur Club is at the dawn of a bright new future as it enters the play-offs for promotion back to the Football League.

As our thoughts turn to Wembley and promotion back to the Football League, we start thinking about the future of our Club; a future which we all hope will be a successful and sustainable one after years of disappointment on and off the pitch. Promotion is what we all dream of, but we also need to transform our Club into a sustainable business, regardless of which league we are in.

WST has been working with Supporters Direct for over 12 months on a community share scheme designed to help us re-structure the business in the short-term and to grow it in the medium to long-term. This scheme is the first of its kind to be launched at a football club in the UK, so WST is once again leading the way in innovative new models of football club ownership.

Our current Community Shares fund stands at £77,000

The Joey Jones Wrexham FC Five-A-Side Junior Football Tournament

on .

jjThe Wrexham Supporters Federation, with thanks to Glyndwr University for use of Collier's Park, have organised the Joey Jones Wrexham FC Five-A-Side Junior Football Tournament to be held at Colliers Park on the weekend of 23rd and 24th June.

This is the third time the Federation have run this tournament, but the first time that it has been named after Wrexham FC legend Joey Jones. The Supporters Federation Chairman, Dave Mainwaring, said of naming the tournament after Joey; “Now Wrexham Football Club is a fans owned club, it was felt by member groups that the tournament could do with a name to give it more prestige, as we would like to think that the tournament can grow bigger in time, and we felt we needed a name to attract clubs to the tournament. There was only one name on everyone’s lips once this was decided, Joey Jones. Joey is a legend in the history of Wrexham Football Club, and since his playing days have ended he has done as much as anyone to help bring young players though the ranks of Wrexham Football Club. We were delighted when Joey accepted to have the tounrament named after him, and hopefully it will now remain a permanent fixture in the diary of events connected to Wrexham Football Club for years to come.”
