Shop goes back to the club

THIS WEEKEND the WST will be handing control of the club shop back to Wrexham Football Club.

As proud fosterers, we view the handover with a mixture of pride, happiness and sadness. We are sad to see what we have thought of as our baby go, but we are happy that the club can now take over the reins once more.

And we are proud because of what we did with the shop during our time behind the counter. While some dismiss us as just a group of well-meaning fans, what happened at the shop shows otherwise. The combined business sense of WST members  helped take the shop from a loss-making venture when we took over to a highly successful shop now in the past year, the shop made £55,000 which was shared equally between the Trust and the Club.

This wont mean the breaking of all commercial ties between the club and WST, however we are going to continue helping with the merchandising operations whenever we can. We will be offering our expertise at the same time as we run our popular fundraising events. These include our trip to Wrexham legend Gary Bennetts pub and our forthcoming quiz night.

As we explained last week, for just £10, we are taking fans to Wrexham legend Bennos pub. The date of the trip is Friday November 3, with pick-ups at Oswestry Bus Station at 6.30pm and the Turf at 7pm.

Make sure you book early this trip filled two coaches last year and is sure to be popular this year as well.
To book, email  This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. as soon as you can!

And this Friday, we will be running a top-notch football quiz.

The fun begins at 8pm in the Wrexham Lager Club. Well be combining our usual WST atmosphere with a detailed quiz for the football fanatic in your life.

For more info on any of the above, simply go to our website - though we must stress this will not include quiz questions in advance! And, as ever, if you need us, we will be available via the Trust Mobile on 07981 151 958.
