As some Members (new and existing) may have noticed, we have been a little slower than normal in responses to membership queries, applications, renewals etc. over the past few weeks. Apart from the obvious pressures of organising the Wembley logistics, the large number of games in a short period, and other Club and Trust activities, such as last Sunday's very successful Player of the Season dinner at Lion Quays, we have also been reviewing how we manage all the necessary functions to provide services both to existing and prospective WST members /WFC Club Owners.
We have recognised that the systems we use were set up a good few years back, when the Membership was numbered in hundreds, rather than the thousands we have today, and no longer reflects the professionalism that exists across both the WST and Wrexham FC. To ensure that we have the correct infrastructure to support and promote this membership growth we have reorganised the membership support group structure, to include a new post of Membership Development Director, as well as taking on board volunteers to manage our data input. We will also be centralising our membership management activities at the Football Club offices. This will ensure that each and every query or application has one place of delivery, and will get the attention it merits and deserves. The WST membership is the lifeblood of the Club and should be given that recognition.
Also, we are developing a new WST website following feedback from members. The new design will be much simpler to navigate, and will include a vastly improved way of joining the Trust if you are not a Member, and if a Member, making updating, renewing and changing details of your account much simpler . At present this website is scheduled for completion and release in July.
