Wrexham Supporters' Trust has submitted evidence to the government's inquiry into football governance.
Our submission centres around the fight to save the Racecourse, firstly during the Hamiltion / Guterman era and today as Wrexham Football Club once again looks likely to lose ownership of its ground, the oldest international football stadium in Wales.
The Trust is also calling for tax relief to encourage fans to invest in Supporters' Trusts and for funding to be made available to match fans' investment in community share schemes at football clubs across England and Wales.
This could enable Wrexham Supporters' Trust to raise significantly more money to fund a potential bid to secure the future of the Racecourse. Our submission has the full backing of Supporters Direct, the body set up by the previous government to support fans to purchase and run their local football club.
