Four local charities nominated as this year’s “WST Charitable Partners” in a scheme that runs from August to July each year have thanked Wrexham Supporters' Trust.

This year’s nominated charities are: Air Ambulance Wales, Alzheimer’s Society, Autism Wishes and AVOW.

When contacted by the WST’s Terry Stott to tell them of the news. Jacky Baldini from Alzheimer’s Society said; “I was delighted to hear this and am very grateful for this offer. I'm sure this will be an ideal opportunity for us to raise the profile of the Alzheimer's Society services and promote awareness of dementia within the community”.

WST and the Alzheimer’s Society already work together delivering a monthly Football Reminiscing project at the Glyndwr University Racecourse Ground. The group have been meeting since May and a second group is about to get underway soon.

Joanne Perera from Autism Wishes said; “This is amazing news, we are all really thrilled! Thank you so much for choosing us, and thanks too for the benefits”.

John Gallanders, Chief Officer of AVOW said; “We are very pleased to have been selected as a WST charitable partner for 2013/14; we hope to have many links with them over the coming season. AVOW is celebrating its Silver Jubilee in 2013 and look forward to working with WST who have ensured that Wrexham Football Club has survived to celebrate its 150th anniversary next year”.

WST are pleased to be able to give something back to AVOW, an organisation that have provided advice and support to the WST over many years.

Dixie McNeil from Air Ambulance Wales said; “This is wonderful news, we’re very proud to be associated with WST. I’m sure that the benefits being provided to us as a charitable partner will not only help raise our profile as a charity but make a big difference to our fundraising as well”.

WST are very pleased to be able to support Air Ambulance Wales, an organisation that they hope to build a working relationship with for years to come.
