Kieron Morris joins the Town on loan from Walsall Featured

kmyAs manager Kevin Wilkin continues adding to his squad for the second half of the season, he has started the process of signing Kieron Morris on a Youth Loan from Walsall.

The 20-year-old midfielder has played 10 first team games for the Saddlers including two starts, both against Colchester United and a goal against Southend United.

He was spotted by Manchester United as schoolboy, but finally signed on at the Bescot as a scholar.

Awarded a pro contract in 2012, Kieron also enjoyed loan spells with both Leamington and Worcester City last season – while also spending time in Iceland with IBV.

He joins a loan which could last for the remainder of the season, but he is also eligible for a recall by Walsall after 28 days.

Due to International Clearance adding an additional hurdle to the process, this is the first time we have used the Youth Loan system, which is available for players aged over 17, but under 21.

Going out on loan are a number of Academy players, as they join clubs locally to help them gain playing time.

James Etherington and Will Page are heading for Penycae, while Matt Cook and Salvyn Kisitu will be helping Rhydymwyn.

Regan Carthey has already signed on for Rhyl, while Joe Whittington is waiting on clearance to join Skelmersdale United at the top of the Northern Premier League.
