Friday the 30th of January saw three local community projects joining forces to promote their individual causes and also raise much needed funds. Wrexham Football Club invited The Caia Park Partnership (CPP), a community led organisation located in the heart of Caia Park in Wrexham and one of the football club’s chosen charitable partners for the current season, to join them for a fundraising general knowledge quiz. The venue was Saith Seren, the community run pub that as well as promoting the use of the Welsh language within the local community, also offers weekly live music in both Welsh and English languages, locally produced food and drink and facilities up stairs for functions of all kinds including Welsh language lessons.
The evening was a huge success and was attended by Wrexham Supporters’ Trust, Kevin Wilkin and Gary Mills who formed a team to challenge others from The Caia Park Partnership (they really should have done better considering the size of their team!), Saith Seren and a number of fans from the Wrexham Football Club membership. Congratulations to the eventual winners from The Rhos Reds! Total raised which will be split between WST and CPP was £240
