Wrexham Supporters Trusts next fundraising event continues with 'Take Wrexham Higher with Ruby' and will see the now famous collie dog named Ruby, and her owner Terry Stott, who recently led almost 200 Wrexham fans on their ascent of Snowdon, take on the challenge of The National Three Peaks. This challenge involves walking to the top of the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours.
It will see Ruby commence her ascent of Scotland's highest mountain, Ben Nevis at 1pm on Friday 12th August. This will then be followed by making their way to the Lake District to ascend Scafell Pike, and will be followed by heading for Snowdonia and the final test of reaching the summit of Snowdon and back down to complete the challenge before heading off back to Wrexham in time for the kick-off of the opening game of the season with Cambridge United at 3pm on Saturday13th August.
Rubys owner Terry Stott, said of the 21 month-old Collie; ¢‚¬Å“Shes been up Snowdon a few times now, and loves the freedom. When we got home from the Trusts sponsored walk up Snowdon, within half an hour she wanted to get back up there! She has so much energy, and will love the opportunity of three walks in a day!¢‚¬
