Following Monday nights members meeting and the announcement of the WST Vice Presidency of the club there have been a few queries raised by our members and some other criticisms we would like to address.
Throughout the past three years our members have been united in our fight to overthrow the Guterman/Hamilton regime. We, as the Trust Board, called upon numerous experts to try and put a package together to buy the club ourselves, but this was not forthcoming.
We then asked our membership to back Nev Dickens and Geoff Moss, because they were local people with good reputations.
Nev and Geoff, along with the Administrators set about clinching the deal that would save our club, and that is what they have done. Make no mistake, without Nev and Geoff, this club could have fallen again into the 'wrong hands'
At our AGM in June, we were asked on behalf of the membership to put our case for board representation. This we have done, and this we will continue to do.
We have been in constant contact with Nev and Geoff throughout the period of the take over. However, at times, communication with them has been difficult, which was mainly been due to the number of meetings that they both have had in trying to put together the redevelopment plans, and we understand that.
The Trust Board have been patient with this, and it wasn't until the week before the Trust Members meeting on Monday 2nd October that a meeting was finalised to discuss board representation, amongst other items.
