Focus article 5 – Engagement with club owners from the TRUST in 2016
This is the fifth in our series of articles updating you on the progress the football club is making under your ownership as fans and giving you a further insight into how your club has progressed during the year just gone.
2016 was another year of significant effort on behalf of members of the Trust to update you on club activities, here are some startling facts:
We have sent out 133 direct member emails (equivalent to a members email every 2.5 days throughout the year!)
We have published 154 WST website news articles, which registered over 500,000 hits between them
There have been over 2000 downloads of documents (Board minutes etc.) from the WST website
There were 6 members meetings during the year including an SGM for club owners to vote on the purchase of a 99 year lease of the Racecourse Ground on 19th March 2016
All this interaction is in addition to the communications put out by the Wrexham AFC media team, which will be the subject of the next article.
All of this engagement and communication is made possible by our fans owned model with volunteers working on your behalf at zero cost to the football club. We look forward to another year in 2017 of providing you with information and opportunities to engage in the running of the club that you own.
To get our engagement off to a good start for 2017, members of the Trust and football club board will be in the Centenary Club from 1pm until 1:30pm before the home game with Woking on 7th January 2017 to answer questions from fans in an informal setting.
The Boards of the Wrexham Supporters Trust and Wrexham AFC would like to wish everyone associated with Wrexham AFC a very happy and prosperous new year!
