wfc1864Last week saw the departure of Phil Jones from the Commercial Department. We would like to thank Phil for his efforts, in particular the launch of the new Adidas Kit in the summer at Eagles Meadow, as well as introducing new commercial partners to the football club. Phil has moved on to pursue other interests and we wish him well for the future. This means that we have a vacancy for the position of Commercial Sales Manager at the club and are advertising for this key position as of today.

In addition to the Commercial Sales Manager position we have  a further vacancy for the position of Accounts & Ticketing Manager at the club. This vacancy has arisen following a review of all our back office operations at the Racecourse which will result in a re-organisation of our Racecourse based roles over the coming months


 

Commercial Sales Manager vacancy - Wrexham AFC Ltd.
 Job Summary:
 Established in 1864, Wrexham Football Club is an iconic brand which has brought the Welsh town to national and international acclaim. As the only fully professional football club in North Wales, Wrexham Football Club is blessed with a significant and passionate fan base and yet has the opportunity to grow and expand.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to be an integral part of the future growth of Wrexham Football Club, developing the customer experience, commercial offering and building strong relationships with key partners.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the experience & capability to:
  • Create, monitor and report against an annual Commercial Plan
  • Deliver revenue to defined business targets through traditional and creative methods
  •  Ensure the positive development of the Wrexham Football Club brand throughout the region
  • Ensure excellent customer service & relationships
 Roles and Responsibilities:
Your principal duties and responsibilities will include:-            
  • Developing the Wrexham Football Club brand and community message beyond the football club
  •  Building relationships with local business communities and networking groups
  • Identifying & maximising commercial opportunities through traditional and emerging channels
  • Developing our retail offering both in store & and online
  • Merchandise sourcing & pricing
  • Delivery of outstanding sales and service levels
  • Improving the matchday customer experience  
Skills & Experience:
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following:-
  • Expert in Commercial Planning with strong sales and marketing skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • History of relationship development
  • Financially adept with the ability to produce financial Sales reports
  • Record of delivering against a Commercial Plan
  • Experience of events management
  • Whilst not essential, Welsh language skills would be advantageous
 Competencies:
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Creative and innovative in approach
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, both written and verbal
  • Ability to confidently interact at all levels of the business (players, management, fans, Senior Management) with the capability to report clearly and concisely at board level
  • Teamworker who supports others in the team

Accounts and Ticket Office Manager vacancy - Wrexham AFC Ltd.
 Job Summary:

As the only fully professional football club in North Wales, Wrexham Football Club is blessed with a significant and passionate fan base and yet has the opportunity to grow and expand.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to be an integral part of the future growth of Wrexham Football Club. The role will be responsible for the management of ticketing for Wrexham FC, processing of all payroll and financial transactions via our accounting system.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the experience & capability to:
  • Prepare and reconcile month end management accounts
  • Review operating costs and suggest alternatives to minimise spend
  • Manage systems and processes in an organised and efficient manner
 Roles and Responsibilities:
Your principal duties and responsibilities will include:-            
  • Ensuring all invoices are raised for commercial activity, football and other income
  • Verifying invoices to purchase orders and making payments
  • Processing bank transfers, daily reconciliation and updating cash flow forecast
  • Processing payroll for all employees and submission of returns including VAT
  • Banking of all cash / cheques received
  • Set up the ticketing system for matches, resolve queries and deal with any ticketing issues on matchdays
  • Processing of all season tickets, matchday tickets and away travel arrangements
 Skills & Experience:
As the successful candidate you will be able to demonstrate the following:-
  • Technical knowledge of accounting regulations
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience through working in a similar position of a comparable businesses
  • IT literate and have strong experience with Sage Accounts, Sage Payroll and Microsoft Excel
  • Whilst not essential, Welsh language skills would be advantageous
Competencies:
  • Ability to update business processes to any regulatory changes
  • Basic IT skills to present financial information to non finance users
  • Attention to detail and the ability to think clearly and analytically
  • Ability to manage own time and prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills are required when dealing with supporters
  • Asking relevant questions of other people within the business to obtain objective information
  • Problem identification and solving, and understanding the impact that solutions have on other parts of the business
  • Teamworker who supports others in the team
